Free H8 development environment under Linux

Abstract

This document describes how to construct free cross-development environment of Hitachi H8 microcontroller. It includes installation guide for GCC and binutils for cross-development, how to write ld script for your H8 target, flash memory writer program, and circuits to make H8 evaluation board from scratch.
